They discuss the deeply transformative power of improv, the spiritual impact of having an improv community, and the many overlaps between improv's lessons and the lessons he's learning in recovery.
It was great to share my journey with both Sobriety and Improv with Suzi. I believe, for many reasons, it's important to recover out loud. I have shared this message in rehabs and local AA meetings, and I am glad to share my story with others. There's no shame in recovering from substance abuse, just like there's no shame in recovering physically from blowing out my knees on a ski slope.
